From The Washington Post.
According to Homeland Security Statistics, the number of people attempting to sneak over the Mexican/U.S border has dramatically dropped since President Trump took office.
The figures show a sharp drop in apprehensions immediately after President Trump’s election win, possibly reflecting the deterrent effect of his rhetoric on would-be border crossers, though starting in May the number of people taken into custody began increasing again.
Joe Walsh, former Congressman and now right-wing talk show host, tweeted “Lowest number of people trying to sneak across our Southern border in decades. Thanks to Trump.”
