Philadelphia City Hall is thinking about a bill that would force business owners to remove any bulletproof glass on stores.

Councilwoman Cindy Bass — a Democrat who offered the bill — told WTXF-TV she’s concerned about shoppers’ feelings. “We want to make sure that there isn’t this sort of indignity, in my opinion, to serving food through a plexiglass only in certain neighborhoods,” Bass told the station.

Joe Walsh, former Congressman and now right-wing talk show host tweeted “Philadelphia considering law to force businesses to remove bulletproof glass protecting clerks in their stores, citing the indignity of it. Big government sucks.”
