From The Hill.
Famous rapper, Eminem, accused the National Rifle Association of “loving guns more than our children” on Sunday night. In one of Eminem recent songs, “Going Nowhere” he accuses the NRA of “being responsible for this whole production” because they “hold the strings and the control”.
“So they know the government won’t do nothing and no one’s budging; Gun owners clutching their loaded weapons; They love their guns more than our children,” he continued.
The debate over gun laws was renewed after 17 people were killed at a Parkland, Fla., high school on Feb. 14. The students who survived the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School have largely led a national conversation on gun control and have been sharp critics of the NRA.
Joe Walsh, former Congressman and now right-wing talk show host, tweeted about Eminem’s comments, saying “Guy who raps about violence and drugs has something to say.”
