Stop taking political advice from Democrats.

South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham joined Democrat Senators Dick Durbin and Bob Menendez on the Sunday talk shows this past weekend to say that if the Republican Party doesn’t support comprehensive immigration reform, then the party will never again win the White House and will whither away and die.

First, Republicans should never take advice from Dick Durbin or Bob Menendez. Second, they are wrong. Hispanics make up only 7% of the voting population. The Asian population is growing faster. Mitt Romney could have won 70% of the Hispanic vote in 2012 and still would have lost to Barack Obama. All the polling of Hispanics says that immigration reform is well down their list of most important issues. Obamacare, big government, and government help with jobs and the economy top their list of concerns.

Republicans like Lindsey Graham only support amnesty for misguided political reasons. They are so afraid of not being re-elected that when it comes to immigration reform, they won’t do what’s best for the country. Amnesty will forever hurt this country politically, economically, and socially.

I will say this for Lindsey Graham — he’s right that there is a potential death spiral coming for the Republican Party … but only if they support amnesty. Their base of conservative, working class Americans will leave the party for good and will find another home with a party that supports freedom, the rule of law, and economic growth.

Organization refuses to comment on illegal aliens driving drunk.

On its website, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), says it is, “the nation’s largest nonprofit working to protect families from drunk driving.”

It’s funny, then, that the organization is not speaking out against a provision in the Gang of 8 amnesty bill that will allow illegal aliens with DUI’s to stay on the road and in the country.

Page 608 of the Gang of 8′s bill says that illegal alien drunk drivers can become legalized if they’ve only been arrested three times or less for DUI’s before the bill is enacted. When pushed by Judicial Watch for a response, MADD said, “they don’t get involved in immigration matters.”

That’s pretty outrageous, but it’s probably safe to assume that MADD’s board, staff, and donor base are probably sympathetic to amnesty. They probably skew left in their politics. The hypocrisy, however, is unbelievable. For the organization to not even issue a statement along the lines of, “We support comprehensive immigration reform but we oppose this specific provision that allows illegal aliens who are drunk drivers from remaining on our roads,” shows how biased and political the organization is.

What a shame. Just this past weekend, a drunk illegal alien was driving in New Jersey and killed a man and injured his two sons. Not a peep out of MADD. Hypocrites!

Find out why Chief Justice Roberts voted to uphold Obamacare.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), one of the great conservative and limited government heroes in the Senate, has a new book out entitled Why John Roberts Was Wrong About Obamacare, A Conservative Critique of the Supreme Court’s Obamacare Ruling. As we near the one year anniversary of that ruling, I highly recommend this read for anyone who wants to better understand why Chief Justice Roberts did what he did.

In the book, Lee explains why Roberts was so wrong to uphold Obamacare by calling it a tax and why the Court was wrong to uphold the ACA’s Medicaid expansion by, in essence, rewriting the statute. Sen. Lee goes on to explain what Roberts’ motives might have been, including strong evidence that the Chief Justice actually changed his mind on the ruling.

Lee concludes by showing the way forward for all Americans who want Obamacare repealed once and for all.

$16.95

Congress passed it. President Obama signed it into law. The Supreme Court has ruled it constitutional. And Obama s re-election virtually ensures the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, also known as ObamaCare, will be implemented in full, with the prospects of wholesale repeal all but impossible. In fact, many provisions of the new law are already becoming a reality with major new regulations set to start soon. ObamaCare will affect every single American, but few know what exactly the 2,700 page law actually says. Now, the ObamaCare Survival Guide, written in plain, easy-to-read language, makes the law simple to understand and gives you the tools to navigate ObamaCare.

It's time for the pro-amnesty crowd to be honest.

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, a longtime immigration reform supporter, said the other day that we need to support amnesty because immigrants are, “more fertile.” Senator Marco Rubio, a member of the Gang of Eight along with Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin, said we need to, “legalize them in order to pay for border security.” Huh?

It’s becoming crystal clear that as Americans learn more and more about the 1,100 page comprehensive immigration reform bill, they don’t like it. Sensing this, Republican proponents of amnesty are getting more desperate and outright silly in their defense of the bill. That’s a shame.

Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Karl Rove, and all the others should at least be honest with the American people and say they support amnesty because they are afraid of the political implications of not supporting it. They mistakenly think if Republicans don’t support amnesty, we will forever lose the Hispanic vote. They should be honest and say they want to legalize 16 million illegals. They should be honest and say that they don’t care about border security. They should say all of these things, instead of insulting us with crazy rationales and excuses.

Give Democrats like Durbin and Schumer credit. They are very open and honest about why they support amnesty — they want 16 million new voters dependent upon government. There is a reason they are smiling and love this mess of a bill. Shame on Rubio, Bush, and all the other Republicans who support this because they are afraid of the politics. What about the country?

The movement of freedom fighters continues to grow.

This past Saturday, Joe Walsh held a townhall in Huntley, and over 120 people attended to discuss the state of the Republican Party and the state of the country. Walsh made clear that the Republican Party had lost its way and was currently not the voice for all Americans who want to get back to our founding principles of freedom and limited government.

He said he was launching an, “army of freedom fighters,” who would work outside the Republican Party to get conservatives elected at all levels of public office. Everyone in attendance signed the “Grow Up and Be Free” pledge and agreed to tell their politicians they wanted to be free and responsible for their own lives, and joined the freedom army.

It's such a shame that a taxpayer leaves Illinois permanently every nine and a half minutes. But can you blame them?

According to a new report, 19 Illinois companies announced this week that they will be cutting more than 2,000 jobs in the upcoming months. Per the State’s May Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, companies such as Caterpillar, Tanscore LP, KBR inc, D.B. Hess Co., Chartwells Dining Services, Commercial Vehicle Group, Illinois Central School Bus, and a number of others indicated the layoffs to be coming.

When will the voters in Illinois wake up? The Democrats agenda of high taxes, burdensome regulations, excessive employment costs, and out of control debt has made Illinois the least friendly business State in the country. So, companies lay people off, cut people to part time work, and leave the State altogether.

It’s such a shame that a taxpayer leaves Illinois permanently every nine and a half minutes. But can you blame them?

Chicago media fails to ask the real questions.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in Chicago yesterday with her husband, giving her first major speech since she stepped down. The media was obsessed with her new hairdo, her first tweet, and where she and Bill were going to dine in Chicago for the evening. Ms. Clinton hinted at her future candidacy for president, speaking to how important it is for women to get involved in politics (hint, hint), and the necessity to find a way out of this lifeless economic recovery.

The Chicago media drooled and swooned, but Ms. Clinton didn’t speak about — and nobody in the media asked her about — Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Ty Woods and Glen Doherty — the four Americans killed in the attack on our consulate in Benghazi. What a shame! Ms. Clinton and the media want to move on and ignore that she and President Obama lied to the American people about why those four Americans were killed and then tried to cover up those lies, all to get Obama re-elected in 2012.

The American people haven’t moved on and no matter how “to die for” Ms. Clinton’s new hairdo is, she will not be able to run and hide from getting at the truth of Benghazi.

Are you okay with your new neighbor being an Islamic jihadist and his family?

Senator John McCain eagerly announced yesterday that President Obama was finally prepared to say that, yes, in fact, the Assad regime in Syria had crossed his red line, that they had used chemical weapons against the rebels, and that the United States was going to aid the rebels militarily.

Let’s be clear — no matter how anxious McCain is for the U.S. to engage militarily in another Arab country, when President Obama last year threw down his red line threat, he was going to have to back it up in some fashion. Intelligence officials here, in Israel, and other countries have known for some time that the Assad regime has been using chemical weapons against the rebels. It was a mistake for Obama to make that threat and then not enforce it. He’s made the U.S. look weak and impotent, which is a habit of his.

But it is equally a mistake for us to get involved militarily and help the rebels. We don’t know who the good and bad guys are in this fight. The rebels consist of al Qaeda, Islamic extremist elements, and jihadists. They recently executed a 14-year-old boy for speaking ill of Islam. These are the people we want to be helping?

We have enough problems at home. We don’t need to engage in another war. More troubling are reports that the Obama administration is making plans to bring thousands of Syrian refugees here to the United States to live. You’ve got to be kidding me!

Are you okay with your new neighbor being an Islamic jihadist and his family?

If you feel the need to carry, carry. It's your God-given right.

Two Illinois Counties Say Its Time For Conceal Carry Now

State’s Attorney’s in two downstate Illinois Counties, Madison and Randolph Counties, have given citizens in their counties the green light to begin carrying firearms. Randolph COunty States Attorney Jeremy Walker said…”June 9 has come and gone with no resolution. Accordingly, I feel its time to act.”

Walker will issue the basic guidelines to local law enforcement pertaining to law abiding citizens who wish to carry and he said that his office would not prosecute anyone arrested by the Illinois State Police for carrying a concealed weapon.

Way to go Madison and Randolph County’s! Every county in Illinois should join you. Many downstate counties stopped prosecuting for concealed carry arrests quite some time ago and look, if Chicago and Cook County aren’t happy about this, they should look in the mirror. They have both been selective in what laws they follow. Cook is a sanctuary County which means its decided not only not to follow federal immigration laws but to actually work against federal immigration laws.

I’ve been recommending for months that any law abiding citizen in Illinois should carry now if they so choose. Quinn, Madigan, and Emanuel continue to stonewall and delay on our basic 2nd Amendment rights. The new July 9th deadline was agreed to only to give local jurisdictions time to enact assault weapons bans.

If you feel the need to carry, carry. Its your god given right.
