From The Hill.
A newly released poll reveals that there is an outpouring for support for “dreamers”, immigrants who were brought to America illegally as children, to find a path to citizenship here in the United States. This poll noted that the support comes from Republicans and Democrats alike.
The latest Harvard CAPS-Harris survey found that 76 percent of voters say that those who were eligible for protections under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program should be given a pathway to U.S. citizenship. That figure includes 63 percent of Republicans.
Joe Walsh, former Congressman and now right-wing talk show host, tweeted his response, saying “No path to citizenship. No illegals in this country. Period.”
