Lake County Republicans are moving ahead with a fundraiser where at least a dozen firearms will be given out to donors Friday night (October 13, 2017).
The “2nd Amendment Dinner and Gun Raffle” in northwest suburban Kildeer features an AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle for those who pay $2,000 to sponsor the event, raffles for a 12-gauge shotgun and a 9 mm handgun, and other gun-related packages.
Joe Walsh, former Congressman and now right-wing talk show host, will be emceeing the event as the master of ceremonies.
There will be a variety of different ways to contribute financially during the fundraiser.
A donor can sponsor a table for $2,000, which comes with 10 dinner tickets, 10 raffle tickets for the Mossberg, six raffle tickets that go towards tribute rifles, and will also leave with a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 semi-automatic, military-style rifle.
Smaller sponsorships include a dinner and raffle tickets, as well as a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9 mm handgun for a total of $1,500, or for $1,250, a sponsor will get both dinner and raffle tickets plus a Ruger K10/22TD “Takedown” rifle.
In addition to sponsoring tables, there will be a cash bar open during the entire event.
