However, when a 5 year old from Mississippi, called 911 to prevent the grinch from stealing Christmas, Police Officer Lauren Develle knew this would be the perfect opportunity to spread Christmas cheer by helping TyLon arrest the grinch.
Byram (Miss.) Police Officer Lauren Develle heard about it and wanted TyLon to know that his holiday was safe.
“Our dispatcher posted a status on Facebook that she had received a call from a little boy … and he told her he thought the Grinch was going to be coming to steal his Christmas,” she said. “I asked her to send me his address.”
Joe Walsh, right-wing talk show host, tweeted about the occasion, “Awesome: 5-year-old TyLon Pittman, who wants to be a cop, called 911 because he thought the Grinch was coming to steal his Christmas. An officer visited the home, and had TyLon help her arrest the Grinch.”
